CHORAL Spring Gathering 2025: Event Highlights and Insights

We recently hosted an inspiring event that brought our community together for a day of learning, sharing, and celebration. The event featured a series of engaging talks, exciting prize awards, and valuable project updates from our Early Career Researchers (ECRs). The focus of this event was on multidisciplinary collaboration with our Transforming Outcomes Through Data Linkage Theme.

Key Highlights:

  • Dr. Nicola Hughes’ top tips on navigating data as an early career researcher, offering invaluable advice for all stages of your professional journey.
  • Lee Norman’s insightful overview of our CHORAL Data Management Team, showcasing the support available to our community.
  • Project updates from Dr. Scarlet-Daisy Prior, Dr. Khurram Mustafa and Kirsten Cromie, highlighting their innovative work and progress.
  • Jake Abbas, Deputy Director of Population Health Intelligence, Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, discussing how connected data environments in Yorkshire and Humber can support and improve child health outcomes.
  • Prize awards for our Postgraduate and Undergraduate award winners, showcasing the incredible research of our up-and-coming child health researchers of the future.

The event was a resounding success, thanks to the active participation and contributions of everyone involved. We are excited to continue building and growing our community together.
