Bio

ORCID ID: 0000-0001-8631-4809

Erin is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist based at the University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She is currently undertaking an NIHR-funded Doctoral Research Fellowship to investigate the effect of wider social determinants on children’s dental health and their participation in community-level oral health interventions. Her PhD is conducted in collaboration with the Bradford Institute for Health Research and involves the use of linked dental data within the “Born in Bradford” family of birth cohorts.

Motivated by the unjust oral health inequalities she sees daily in her clinical practice, her research uses novel quantitative methods and works in partnership with children, parents, and a range of stakeholders to help understand and improve oral health outcomes. Her research interests include health data linkage, preventative interventions, and causal inference methodologies.
