Prof. Jon Dorling

Jon is a Neonatologist who splits his time between working in the Leeds Neonatal Service (at Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital) and his role as a Clinical Professor of Child Health and Neonatology in the CHORAL team.

In his role as a Clinical Professor, he leads and supports a number of neonatal clinical trials with topic areas including feeding high risk infants, gut blood flow, intact umbilical cord resuscitation, cooling in mild neonatal encephalopathy, pain management, and early onset infection.

These are all targeted at improving the outcomes of sick/premature newborn babies and he has also experience of using other research methods including epidemiology to do this.
