Katherine is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Leeds, working within the Neonatal Clinical Care Research theme. Her research focuses on how early-life biological vulnerability, particularly preterm birth and neonatal care, shapes neurodevelopmental across childhood. She completed her PhD at the University of York in 2025, using large-scale population data to examine associations between gestational age, ethnicity, and developmental disorders. Her work spans perinatal epidemiology, education, and health equity, including studies of school readiness following preterm birth, antenatal corticosteroid use, and equity in the provision of perinatal care using national datasets.
