Malenka is a clinical academic working as a consultant in paediatric cardiology at LTHT and a clinical lecturer in paediatric cardiovascular research at the University of Leeds. Malenka completed her PhD in Ocford looking at blood flow in 3D throughout the heart, before moving to Leeds. Her main interests are neonatal and fetal MRI - imaging of babies' hearts before they are even born and shortly after delivery.
Her main research aim is focussed on improving diagnostic uncertainty in congenital heart disease and improving cardiovascular outcomes in all fetuses and babies at risk of congenital or acquired heart disease.
